Our Mission

At A Little Link, our mission is to nurture emotional wellness in children and help raise a generation of resilient, connected and courageous kids.

A Little Link was born from my experience as a parent of a sensitive child—one who found school goodbyes, summer camps, and even playdates overwhelming. For years, we navigated separation with tears and worry, until a simple ritual changed things for us: I’d draw a small heart on her hand, and we’d take a quiet moment to connect each morning. With intention, patience, and a little bit of magic, over time her tears lessened and her courage grew. That tiny act became our little link, a way to stay connected even when we were apart.

Each of the techniques in our kits are rooted in evidence-based practices like tapping, box breathing, and visual reassurance, yet wrapped in the warmth of imagination and play. When a child taps their “Little Link” and imagines love being sent back from their caregiver, they’re not just soothing their nervous system—they’re building inner strength and emotional literacy that will serve them far beyond childhood.

Why It Matters

School refusal is rising and emotional challenges are showing up earlier and more intensely—especially in post-pandemic classrooms. A recent survey of junior infant teachers in Ireland found that over 80% reported more pupils struggling with emotional or behavioural issues — including increased anxiety, reduced emotional regulation, and greater separation difficulty.

Our children are telling us something. They’re feeling the weight of a fast-changing world and they need our steadiness, our time, and those small, daily moments of connection that help them feel grounded.

Why We're Here

At A Little Link, we believe resilience begins in relationship. We believe that with the right tools, children can grow up feeling safe, connected, and brave in a world that doesn’t always slow down for big feelings. And we believe that the tiniest rituals can make all the difference.

We’re here to empower parents, support educators and strengthen children’s sense of safety, belonging, and resilience - one little link at a time.
